Begun in the '70s as Prairie Outpost Park, the Dickinson Museum Center into a municipal cultural center featuring the Joachim Museum, the Stark Country Historical Society, the Dakota Dinosaur Museum, and a visitors center. Many folks are drawn to the park's Pioneer Machinery building, where permanent exhibits instruct on the area's rich agriculture and ranching history. The Center lies in the downtown area, near Youngs Park.
